Connecting Stripe
Paid ticket types need a connected Stripe account. On the payouts page, choose the business structure that fits your organisation — registered charity, unincorporated association (most PTAs, clubs and village halls), company or sole trader — and complete Stripe's onboarding. Free events can be published without connecting Stripe at all. Read the guide.
Creating events and ticket types
Add your event's title, description, date and venue, then add one or more ticket types with a price, quantity and any sale window. The buyer-facing price, including the booking fee, is shown next to the price you enter as you type. A hidden ticket type can be shared as an invite-only link. Read the guide.
Check-in and door links
Scan tickets from the event's check-in page in any phone browser — no app to install. Create a check-in link to hand to volunteers on the door without giving them a login; it works even if the venue has no signal, once the page has loaded. Read the guide.
Refunds and cancellation
Refund individual tickets from the order page — the buyer gets the ticket price back, and the booking fee is kept, since it already covers card processing. If you cancel an event entirely, every confirmed order is refunded in full, including the booking fee. Stripe doesn't return its own processing fee on a refund, so that cost is deducted from your connected account when you cancel a paid event. Read the guide.

Finding your tickets
Every order confirmation email includes a link to manage your tickets — no account needed. If you've lost the email, use find my tickets to have a new link sent to your address. Read the guide.
Refund rules
If the organiser cancels the event, you're refunded in full, including the booking fee. Where the organiser has switched on self-service refunds, an eligible request — made before the event starts — is refunded automatically, ticket price only. Otherwise, a refund request is up to the organiser. Either way, the booking fee is not refunded unless the whole event is cancelled, since it covers card processing that's already happened.
