Most ticketing platforms charge a percentage of the ticket price, plus a fixed amount, plus sometimes a subscription on top. For a PTA selling £3 tickets to a school disco, that adds up to a meaningful chunk of money that never reaches the hall, the costumes or the coach fare — and buyers often don't see the fee until the last step of checkout.
TicketKind charges one small booking fee per ticket, set by price band (rising to a small percentage only above £100), shown in the price from the first time a buyer sees it. There's no subscription for organisers, and no separate line that appears only at the till. The organiser sets a price, and receives it in full on a completed sale. The buyer sees one number, and that's the number they pay.
We built TicketKind for the organisations that get squeezed hardest by ticketing fees: PTAs, village halls, amateur theatre groups, sports clubs, and small commercial events that don't sell thousands of tickets a year. Free events stay completely free — no booking fee, no card processing, no reason not to use it.
That's the whole idea. A fee shown upfront, and nothing hidden underneath it.
